January 2026 sees the launch of a new season of Lynchian screenings at the Museum. But there’s a twist… none of the films are directed by David Lynch.
That’s the point of course; the nine-part season pays tribute to Lynch by exploring other directors’ films that share aspects of his distinctive style and sensibility.
From Fritz Lang’s baroque Bluebeard noir, Secret Beyond the Door (1947) on 16 January, to the multi-layered digital dreamscape of Coma (2022; dir. Bertrand Bonello) on 23 October, ‘Not By Lynch’ explores the Lynchian in terms of both antecedents and reverberations.
Dip-in or collect the set, don’t miss this unique season! You can see all the details and book tickets on our dedicated Not By Lynch page.
