Venue Hire
The Cinema Museum provides an atmospheric backdrop for cinema-related filming and is a truly unique venue for hire: screenings; book launches; parties; awaydays; exhibitions and more.
Take a look at our facilities below (click on any of the pictures to get an enlarged view), and get in touch to discuss your requirements.

The Main Hall
The historic main hall (originally the chapel for the Lambeth Workhouse – once home to Charlie Chaplin) is a simply amazing space.
Decorated with cinema artefacts, the hall holds up to 100 people, offering a flexible mix of both theatre and café-style seating. There is full audio-visual support, including digital and film projection for talks, presentations and screenings.
The hall offers both a café and licensed bar and is fully accessible via a lift from the ground floor.
Coming Later in 2026…
The Screening Room
Our screening room (currently undergoing restoration) offers a more intimate space.
Seating 36 and benefiting from flexible projection facilities, the screening room is ideal for smaller events, presentations and of course creenings.

Our Experience
The Cinema Museum is a singular venue experienced in hosting a wide range of events.
- Awaydays‐ a fun place to have your staff awayday with the chance of a film show when the work is done.
- Book and film launches ‑ with the history of cinema providing a distinctive setting.
- Parties‐ have your family or works party with us, perhaps include a favourite film?
- Celebrations‐ we have been pleased to host many marriage celebrations, anniversaries, memorials etc.
- Community events ‐ we are keen to work with our local communities for public meetings, AGM’s, socials or fundraisers.
Any of the above can be combined with a VIP tour of the Museum’s collection, perhaps tuned to your theme and with refreshments as part of the package.
We’d love to hear about your event, do get in touch to discuss how we might be able to help make it really memorable.
