In 2021, Museum co-founder Ronald Grant spoke at the Screens & Stages In The Silver City conference, which focused on the architectural heritage of Aberdeen’s historic theatres and cinemas.
In his presentation, Ronald shared memories of Aberdeen’s picture houses, drawing in part on his time working for the family firm of James F. Donald – which at the beginning of the 1950s ran 12 of the city’s 16 cinemas.
